The new prototype, located in Bowling Green, KY, brings a new upscale status to the company. All new properties in the Home-Towne family will feature the same upscale amenities, featured in the Bowling Green location, at rates typically less than a standard hotel room.
The new property features 388 square foot suites that include 42” plasma flat panel TV’s in every suite; some suites offering both large flat panel plasma TV in the living area and a 17” LCD TV in the work area. Each suite also offers a 2-line phone with speaker and conference call features. The new prototype offers three room types, Queen Suites, King Suites, and 2 Bedroom Suites.
The General Manager of the new property, Tammy Kirby, was recently presented with the “Owners Award” for 2005 at the quarterly General Managers meeting held in winter 2005 at the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island, FL for her contribution of on-time and under budget results at the opening. The award came with two airline tickets good for anywhere in the world.
Home-Towne Suites is a chain of residential studios specializing in long term stays and designed especially for the business traveler by offering spacious apartment style suites at a fraction of the cost of normal hotel rooms. Michael Tetterton, founder and President, spent 10 years with Residence Inn by Marriott and 5 years as Vice President of Operations for Studio Plus before developing the Home-Towne Suites chain.
